Some variations for you to have fun with:
Try 1/2 tahini and 1/2 almond butter very well
Try 1/2 almond butter, half dessicated coconut – needs a little more baking time
Try 2 tablespoons of Carob powder
Try adding chopped macadamia nuts
Serve with fresh berries or Coconut Ice Cream
These are so awesome…..i make them with Almond butter….I have also added ground cardamon, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla powder…..yum….
We make these all the time. They are quick and simple and super delicious. They remind me of the peanut butter and honey sandwiches I loved as a girl. I like to leave them in the oven after I turn it off to crisp them up slightly. Yum!!
Thanks for the tip Robyn! Mine were a little too squishy in the middle! 🙂 Sarah
