I know … it’s a big statement to make, but this is totally amazing.
My boss, Ben, saw that I had bought some brussel sprouts and shared this with me – we just had it with gluten free chicken sausages for dinner with my world famous pesto and it was simply divine.
Trim the brussel sprouts and then slice them into discs.
Heat some olive oil in a pan and when it’s hot, pop in the sprouts with some ground black pepper and a few caraway seeds.
The outer leaves crisp up and the inner core is soft and sweet.
This dish has changed my life, thank you Ben x
This sounds yummy. I’ve cooked bacon slices and then in the fat cooked the brussels after till crispy. Delicious any time of day 🙂
I love Brussel sprouts lately, thanks for sharing. And so does my puppy surprisingly! 🙂
LOL what a discerning puppy!
Your post had me yearning for Brussels sprouts Sarah, ( a favorite with me ) but alas and alack not available anywhere here at the moment! Still it was nice to think of them fondly 🙂 Till Winter….
I’ve heard frozen brussels are also very good … not tried them myself though Jeanette … let me know what they are like if you get the urge!
I tried them yesterday… delicious indeed! I made them with Chinese cabbage and fried tuna from a tin with some sesame seeds. Mmmm..
Mmmmm yummy! Thanks Lieke 🙂
